Link building programme
Editorial link acquisition and authority consolidation across a competitive consumer category.
Bestever is an AI creative engine for performance advertising, competing in a fast-moving category against established creative and ad-analytics tools. As an AI-native brand it needed the kind of third-party editorial authority that both search engines and AI answer engines rely on when deciding which sources to trust. The brief was to strengthen off-site authority with editorial, manual-review-safe links, in a category where most link supply is low-quality or network-based. The goal was link-profile quality and relevance, not volume.
The campaign ran in June 2025. Over that month, Bestever’s referring domains grew from 312 on 1 June to 348 on 30 June, a net gain of 36. The 11 editorial links delivered in June were part of that growth and formed its high-quality, followed share. Figures from Ahrefs.

The links added to the followed segment of the profile, the part that carries ranking and citation authority in a link profile that is otherwise majority nofollow.

Across the wider tracked period, Bestever’s search footprint scaled to 426 organic keywords with 261 ranking in the top three, and its non-branded footprint, the segment editorial links most directly influence, grew by 94 keywords and +80 traffic.

About these figures. What the campaign is credited with. Bestever’s total organic traffic (roughly 3.3K per month in Ahrefs) is largely branded, driven by brand awareness and product growth rather than link building. This case study credits the June campaign with its contribution to the followed referring domain base and the link-profile quality that supports Bestever’s non-branded footprint, not with the total traffic figure.
A single-month link campaign is the smallest thing we sell, and it is the clearest test of whether an agency will overclaim. The honest read is 11 editorial placements inside a net gain of 36 referring domains, added to the followed share of a profile that is otherwise majority nofollow. We do not credit the campaign with the branded traffic it did not cause.
